So, we've just rolled home from SW France and, to combat the post-holiday depression - the traffic, the noise, the unsmiling people, the autumn, THE NOISE - we pretended that we just started our NEW holiday. As this hopeless ploy began failing five minutes after it commenced (due to the above factors), we rapidly opened and got stuck into some seriously good Bordeaux, priced at just over a Euro twenty (that's about 80p a bottle to us suckers in the UK).
Anyway, read a lot of books in the sun, including:

The New Oxford Dictionary of English - various clever people
Reviews will begin to get posted on The Review in the next few days, once I've failed to drink myself to death on cheap French wine.
